Top 5 Things to Do During Spring in the Poconos

1. Enjoy the Weather

The Poconos’ spring weather varies greatly each month. In March, you can expect some freezing weather and snow, while May boasts temperatures in the 60s and sunny skies. For most of the activities listed below, we recommend visiting later in the season!

2. Play a Round of Golf

There’s no better place to enjoy a beautiful day than the golf course! Take some time out of your spring trip to play a round of golf at our favorite Poconos golf courses. You will enjoy incredible views of the mountains while playing these challenging holes.

Jack Frost National is one of our go-to courses for a great round. This Poconos golf club is on the crest of Jack Frost Mountain, a spectacular location for taking in the scenery!

3. Go Hiking

The Poconos beautiful landscape is the main attraction for visitors in this area. From cross-country skiing in the winter to swimming in the summer, there’s no shortage of outdoor adventure during any time of year. We recommend exploring these hiking trails in the Poconos during your spring trip!

We recommend Bushkill Falls‘, also known as the “Niagara of Pennsylvania”, hiking trails for our spring visitors. This privately owned park is centered around eight waterfalls, which are in full effect during the spring thanks to increased rainfall. There are four trails at this park that vary in difficulty, making it a great option for hikers of all skill levels! Be sure to keep an eye out for the wildlife along your hike, as bird watching is another popular activity here.

4. Opt Indoors

Spring is the rainiest season in the Poconos, so it’s possible that there may be some showers in the forecast during your trip. Don’t worry! There are plenty of great things to do indoors like shoppingantiquing, and more.

5. Stay at Mountaintop Lodge at Lake Naomi

Which of these activities will you add to your spring bucket list? No matter which you choose, make Mountaintop Lodge at Lake Naomi your homestead.
