How to Get From Chicago to the Poconos

Take a Flight

There are two airports you can fly into that are less than an hour from the Lodge. The flight takes about two hours one-way. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport in Avoca takes about 35 minutes to get to by car. Lehigh Valley International Airport in Allentown is about a 45-minute drive south of the Lodge. Lucky for you, flights are usually cheaper from the closer Scranton airport, but be sure to check both before you book. From the airport, you can either rent a car at the airport, use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft, or use a transportation service like J&J Luxury Transportation.

Make It a Road Trip

Driving from Chicago to the Poconos makes for a great road trip! The ride takes about 11 hours. If you don’t want to drive the entire way in one shot, Cleveland, Ohio is right in the middle of the route and makes for the perfect place to stop for the night. It’s an easy ride mostly on the interstate. You take I-90 to Elyria, OH. From there, you get on I-80 which will almost take you all the way to the Lodge. Once you get to Tobyhanna Township, you take exit 284 toward Blakeslee. That will take you to the center of the town where you’ll turn right onto Route 940 which will take you to the Lodge after about 8.5 miles.

Take a Bus

If you prefer the classic greyhound bus, they make stops at the Martz Express station in Mount Pocono just 10 minutes from the Lodge. From there, you can easily use a rideshare service to get to the Lodge. The rides typically take anywhere from 25 to 28 hours depending on the stops and can actually cost you more than a flight.
