What to Bring
A delicious meal is the centerpiece of any successful picnic. For your Poconos picnic, grab a to-go lunch from our on-site café! Mountaintop Lodge’s coffee and pastry shop has a light lunch menu that features a weekly selection of two salads and two sandwiches. We also receive a variety of fresh-baked pastries from a local bakery, so you can even pack a sweet treat for your picnic in the Poconos!
Have dietary restrictions? Place a to-go order from Stone Row Pub and Eatery. This vegan-friendly restaurant in the Poconos region is a “Meat-friendly, plant-forward scratch kitchen specializing in tasty food and drink for everyone.”
Picnic Areas
Big Pocono State Park
Big Pocono State Park is one of our favorite places for a picnic. This park offers several picnic areas atop Camelback Mountain. Some of these designated picnic areas are equipped with picnic tables and charcoal grills for your convenience!
Promised Land State Park
There’s so much to do at Promised Land State Park! Spend the morning exploring hiking trails, mountain biking, and/or wildlife watching. Then, head to the Day Use Picnic Area beside Promised Land Lake. This area is equipped with everything you need for a successful picnic, including parking, picnic pavilions, trash containers, and even a refreshment stand!
