Delaware Highlands Conservancy 

If you’re looking for eagles, the Delaware Highlands Conservancy is the place to find them! Join on a guided Eagle Watch bus tour or enjoy your own scenic ride!  

Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area  

Enjoy 40 miles of the Middle Delaware National Scenic and Recreation River, over 100+ miles of hiking trails, and three beaches to swim in! You have 70,000 acres to explore the native wildlife. Bird watching is most popular here. The most popular are eagles, but you can find hummingbirds too! Be on the lookout for black bears! 

Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary  

With about 600 acres of the Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary, you’re guaranteed to spot indigenous wildlife and waterfowl.  

Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center  

Not only can you explore the wildlife in the region, but Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center has programs directly for children to learn about wildlife and wetland management! The center provides hands-on interpretative hikes and programs complete with a bookstore, trails, interpretative staff, and displays. You’re most likely to spot squirrels, deer, raccoons, and foxes during your trip!  

Lacawac Sanctuary  

The Lacawac Sanctuary is a nature center dedicated to environmental education and biological studies, located on 550 acres, which protects Lake Lacawac, the 52-acre pristine glacial lake!  You can enjoy birdwatching as you hike over nine miles of hiking trails. Stop in the visitor’s center or environmental education center to learn more. There are programs specifically tailored to the public.
